Newborn baby photo sessions are not only about those cute sleepy shots but also showing connection and love of the whole family, and that includes pets! Especially if it’s a magnificent bulldog Horatio who I fell in love with immediately! Such a fun photoshoot!
Family photography with 2 children - Home Session - East London - Ann Wo
Here’s a beautiful family photography home session with two gorgeous children - brother and sister, how adorable are they!
We did a mix of white studio background shots, baby on blankets with his favourite toys (love that avocado!!) and lifestyle images around the home. We also went outside for a quick stroll, there’s a lovely lake just a short walk away - perfect photography backdrop!

Lifestyle family photography - Baby Boy - Home and Outdoor photoshoot in London - Ann Wo
This little guy was an absolute pro during his awesome lifestyle baby photography session in London! I loved every minute working on this family photoshoot, it was such fun! Mum had planned the timings perfectly, I arrived during baby’s morning nap, set up my white backdrop and fluffy rug, and I also brought wooden chair and a selection of cute knitted rompers and hats. All the styling is discussed via email prior to the photoshoot. Mum has also prepared a few adorable baby outfits, so we can try different looks.
Baby woke up and was in a top mood so we started with the studio-looking shots, went through the outfits and had some play with mum and dad.
How cool is this baby kimono!!!
After the studio part of the photo session was done we carried on with natural lifestyle shots around the apartment.
I have a slight obsession with windows as many of my photography clients know:)
Shots on the bed are a must, plenty of options to play and giggle - producing lovely fun natural family photos!
Much needed lunch was in order before heading outside.
Mum wanted modern natural family photos with an urban feel, and picked AMAZING location in Barbican. Old roman ruins and concrete passageways not only look great as a background but also very convenient for family photo session with young children. There are lots of places without people in the background, perfect shadows protecting from harsh direct sunlight and plenty of space for kids to explore and for me to capture genuine fun expressions. It would even work if it rains as there are covered walks.
I can’t wait and come back to photograph my own boys here, love the brutalist architecture!
